Slow Cooker Fall Apart BBQ Beef

Woah. Everyone is losing their sh*t over this beef. It’s SO good and so flavorful. I haven’t had the best luck with beef in the past and this is one of those fool-proof recipes. I’m talking “I have a baby and no time” easy. Throw it in your crockpot and forget about it. The result is magical.

Slow Cooker Fall Apart BBQ Beef

Ingredients (serves 2-4)
1.5 – 2 lbs beef for stew
salt + black pepper
olive oil
hickory BBQ sauce (I used woodstock farms, but sweet baby rays is great!)

Take the beef out of the package, rinse and pat dry with paper towels. Generously sprinkle with olive oil, salt and black pepper for seasoning. In a non stick pan on medium-high heat, brown the beef on both sides (30 seconds each side or so). The key to a good browning is don’t overcrowd the pan. Place the beef pieces into your crockpot. Cover the meat with BBQ sauce until all of it is covered in sauce. Cook on high for 4-5 hours turning and recovering meat with sauce half way through. I made this with mashed potatoes and asparagus but you can enjoy it with anything you like!
