mmmmmm…..mmmmmmmm…. omg this recipe is SO good. If you love spicy food, messy burgers, and so much flavor – you must try this dish. It was really easy and really fun actually. Dave even helped me make them!
4 Tbsp Butter
1 Onion, diced
1/2 cup of Whiskey
1 cup of BBQ sauce (I used sweet baby rays)
Jarred Jalapeno Slices (to your liking)
Slider buns or small rolls
Form patties with the raw meat, quite small (see pics). Sprinkle salt and plenty of pepper on both sides. Melt the butter in a grill pan over medium high heat and then cook the patties until they’re almost fully cooked. Remove the patties onto a plate temporarily. Throw in the diced onions and stir letting them soften for about 3-5 minutes. Pour in the whiskey slowly and stir. Let the whiskey reduce by half (see pics) and then stir in the jalapenos and BBQ sauce. Reduce the heat to low and put the patties into the mixture. Let the sauce simmer, be sure to flip the patties over to get them sauced on both sides.
I buttered up the rolls and put them in the oven for a little. Put the patties on the rolls and enjoy the messy deliciousness. YUM! so full of flavor
shhhh…. we added cheese! but it fell off. haha
